Chesapeake Supports Community Needs this Holiday Season

During this season of giving, Chesapeake met community wants and needs in all four states in which we operate — making charitable donations, participating in special events and organizing employee volunteering and giving opportunities.

  • Our field locations in Pennsylvania, Texas and Louisiana supported, among others: Shop with a Cop, Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army, Operation Santa Claus and Shriners Hospital for Children.
  • In Oklahoma City, we donated 400 blankets to students at Martin Luther King Elementary School, sponsored holiday lights in front of our corporate headquarters and financially donated to Special Care, Citizens Caring for Children, Pivot, City Center and Tulakes Clinic.
  • Oklahoma City employees also organized volunteering opportunities at the Infant Crisis Center, Positive Tomorrows, Citizens Caring for Children and countless other organizations.
  • Lastly, we continued our “holiday wish” tree tradition, in which each of our six office buildings in Oklahoma City hosted a tree of needs from a local nonprofit organization. Employees selected a wish to fulfill, resulting in hundreds of donations of gifts, clothing, food and medical supplies to charities during the month of December.

“Giving back to our communities, especially around the holidays, is a long-standing tradition at Chesapeake,” said Chesapeake’s Chief Sustainability Officer Usha Turner. “Thank you to our employees for giving so generously and to our communities for your continued support of Chesapeake.”
